Founded in 1970, Outpost Co-op is a community-owned grocery cooperative serving the Milwaukee area with local, natural and organic foods. Today, Outpost proudly serves more than 23,000 owners through four neighborhood stores at 100 E. Capitol Dr. in Milwaukee, 7000 W. State St. in Wauwatosa, 2826 S. Kinnickinnic Ave. in Bay View and 7590 W. Mequon Rd. in Mequon. The co-op employs over 350 people and is a union employer represented by UFCW Local 1473.
Deeply rooted in cooperation and community care, Outpost is known for its strong local partnerships, award-winning produce departments, and long-standing commitment to giving back through programs supporting hunger relief, nonprofits and local producers. While much has evolved since 1970, Outpost’s purpose remains the same: to strengthen our community through good food, shared ownership and responsible business.
