Saint Paul, MN – National Co+op Grocers today joins fellow grocers nationwide in celebrating Supermarket Employee Day, a moment to pause and reflect on the important role that grocery employees everywhere play in supporting the health and well-being of their communities.
FMI, The Food Marketing Institute, created today’s proclamation as a “time for the food industry to recognize employees at every level for the work they do feeding families and enriching lives.”
NCG’s 147 member co-ops employ more than 10,000 staff across 38 states.
“Food co-op staff have been on the front line every day throughout the pandemic, putting themselves at increased risk in order to serve their communities,” said C.E.
