Our collaboration is new; our stores are steeped in cooperation in our communities. In 2025, the member owners of Mississippi Market and River Market voted to consolidate. We have 4 locations, three neighborhood Mississippi Market stores in St. Paul at Selby, West 7th and East 7th and one river side location in downtown Stillwater. Our first Mississippi Market store opened in 1979, the River Market location opened in 1978 both cooperatives opened with the goal of helping our neighbors enjoy high-quality organic, local and sustainably raised foods.
At Rivers Cooperative Markets, we are a community of members, shoppers and staff who are passionate about real, local food. Our priorities have remained true since the beginning, guided by the cooperative principles. We’re driven by a desire to improve and nurture the health of people and the planet – supporting local farmers and preserving farmland, donating to local nonprofits and funding healthy nutrition lessons for children.
